FRESH AIR
When all of this is done, I will venture out,
And when I step from the warm to the cold,
I will not laugh out loud nor silently pout.
No, I will dance a jig and celebrate being old.
Why? Because I know that although I am in a risk age
Fresh air will free me from any social distancing cage.
What is fresh air?
It’s always there.
It shakes hands and mingles with clouds in the blue sky
It rubs shoulders with the light of the sun.
It weeps and inter-mingles with the raindrops that cry,
And it fills our lungs with life-giving oxygen.
It wraps the moon with the silent freshness of the night,
And breathes its fuel into the darkness and feeds the light.
Fresh air is what Mother Nature gifted to us,
And it will ultimately tame the corona virus.
