CREATOR OR CREATED

Are you make-believe?

Are you real at all?

Are you but a Socratic shadow on the wall?

Are you no more than the sun's reflected light?

And will you disappear with the onset of night?

From the beginning of time, Man oozed greed, hatred, and acted on evil intention,

And prayed to an invisible, all-powerful force, an illusion of his mind's invention.

And thusly God was created by and in the image of Man,

Mirroring and supporting an evil, self-serving flim-flam.

And so, every Man's actions were artificially justified as being God's own choices,

Sanctioned as categorical imperatives received as the Lord's whispered inner voices.

But in reality, those voices were nothing more than Man talking to himself,

Plotting how to take what he wants, while putting other's rights on the shelf.
