DON'T POOH-POOH CANADA GEESE

I am home in Toronto

And want you to know.

Toronto at springtime is uniquely unpleasantly loose,

As it hosts the graceful bowel-active Canada Goose.

Its droppings are smaller than that of elephants or of mules

But sadly appear all over as ‘fowl’ smelling watery stools.

The bird has dark coloured feathers, short legs and a curved throat,

An odd-shaped beak through which never is heard a pleasant note.

They're Canada's namesake and truly wonderful birds,

Until of course, you step into one of their liquid turds.

So if you’re in Toronto and a springtime visitor you be,

Tread carefully and do not be footloose and fancy free.
