VIEW FROM MY WINDOW

It is sloppily round and its colour is orangey-red

I see it every morning from the window by my bed.

It is the sun in the eastern skies alit with a bright light

Silhouetting the denizens of the sky in morning flight,

Assisting the pregnant red robin to find its worm

Aiding all spring birthing creatures to come to term.

Warming the earth and its environment and all that they embrace

As it slowly crosses our globe from its eastern to its western place.

And as it sets in the west our skies darken and then are relit

By the moonlight of night, shining as it might and as will befit

What for tomorrow the darkness will permit or the absence of enlightenment hides.

The outcome will depend on whether it is the evil or goodness in Man which decides.
