SENSITIVITY

There are scents, senses, and the copper penny or cent.

To our wonderful mother, we were from heaven sent.

There is little or even no sense, for example nonsense.

There are those who are poor and have but few cents.

There are others who revel in much common sense.

There is the smelly skunk that abuses our senses with their scents,

And also the religious cleric praying and burning frankincense.

Yet, while the world basks in these multitudes of senses,

It is an orb replete with many deceptions and pretenses.
