THE HOT DOG
I speak of the large all beef Hot Dog right now,
As the deity of my atheism and my unholy cow.
I embrace my atheism with great relief
And with a strong and religious belief.
Every second Thursday I pay the Hot Dog homage
By extending to Costco at Woodbine my patronage,
And there to undergo an unholy, but tasteful dialogue
With a diet coke and an all beef unkosher hot dog.
Though wrapped in a non wafer bun,
I will certainly before I am fully done,
Religiously it embellish
With mustard and relish,
And quickly down it knowing full well
That by not believing in heaven or hell,
If surreptitiously I am taken or removed from life's ebb and flow,
The worst I will suffer is being all dressed up, with no place to go.
