AN INTERESTING MIND

I wonder if the mind makes us interesting,

Or do we in our being, make it so.

For me an answer has long been festering

As I have not been able to even show

What or where the mind is or resides or even if it does.

Is it born of our experience, or is it an innate part of us?

Without such knowledge there can be no useful analysis

To take us beyond the cliché that the mind is what it is.

Man’s resulting frustration due to this void in information after all is said and done,

Permits his posturing that he is the proud owner of a mind, if not the wise user of one.

As for me, my mantra is that if there is such thing as a mind,

It’s better to have an interesting one than one of another kind.
