THE INDISCRIMINATE RISK
Millions of North Americans engaged the coronavirus to their deaths.
They did so reluctantly and so courageously to their very last breaths.
Their valiant fight to stay alive was mostly fought in the field of hospital trenches
Aided by first responders, nurses and doctors, none of whom sat on side benches.
And although many fatalities have thus resulted from these joint battles being fought,
History, as Mankind’s tutor, has repeatedly the ethical categorical imperative taught,
To protect and to value equally, all of its kindred souls, both the strong and weak,
For the agent of death indiscriminately puts all of us equally at risk, so to speak.
