THE DISAPPOINTMENT

Not all nor everything is as it appears to be

Including the parameters of human decency.

For Man as he now is and as he appears to be

Is as a pretzel twisted and warped by his history.

Man is so flawed, he survives as a work in perpetual motion,

Alternatively soaring and sinking on the cusp of an emotion,

Nurtured by his vile bigotry, and by that of his greed,

All hungered and dissatisfied by their rapacious need.

Man's camouflage has fully absorbed him, and he has become his disguise.

Leaving his Creator with a saddened heart and a burning anger in his eyes.
